So for this week’s interview, I talk to author Barbara Clarke about her new memoir The Red Kitchen. I wanted to dive into the writing of a memoir because I talk to so many writers who want to start their careers by writing their memoir but really don’t have an idea of how to go about it. Since this is Clarke’s second memoir, I thought she would have some good insight into the process. I was right. Clarke’s book chronicles the long-term effects of early childhood trauma and how that alters a life’s course, but it’s written in a way that’s deep and funny all at the same time. Enjoy the interview — oh and sorry about the noise in this one I’m working on it again but you can still hear it!
